God works in mysterious ways, always doing the unexpected and using people the world overlooks. He chooses people we may see as unfit and unqualified. I love that His hand is upon those who are weak and misunderstood. God doesn’t choose people based on outward appearance but rather, God looks at the heart.
I look at the online world and see God’s hand all over the internet. The online world can be toxic, cruel and it can contribute to mental health struggles, but isn’t it ironic how God can use the very thing that is destructive to reach His lost sheep?
At this very moment, while you are reading this, people are encountering Jesus through social media platforms. They are doom scrolling and suddenly come across a video of someone sharing a testimony that sounds very similar to what they are actively going through. People might not realise it, but seeds are being planted. Jesus is revealing Himself through podcasts, youtube, worship videos, tiktoks, comment sections, reels and so much more.
What is even more beautiful is seeing God’s favour upon those who are eager to use their voice to show others how much God loves them. I see God raising up a generation who are bold, courageous and confident. A generation that is not afraid to stand out from the crowd, but is actually excited to be set apart.
I think it’s beautiful how God uses a surrendered heart; it is genuinely unfathomable. I look at my own life and see how much God has done and how quickly He has moved, the only thing I had to do was surrender my life to Him. Let me tell you something about surrender, it comes with many challenges; but God doesn’t call us to take the comfortable route, instead He tells us to pick up our cross and walk the narrow path.
I wonder if you have ever thought about using your platform to be part of something bigger? You do not need a large following or a viral platform to be used by God; you simply need to make yourself available. I have witnessed accounts dedicated to sharing Jesus grow from 0 to 100k followers within 6-12 months. I have also seen accounts remain at 300-1000 followers for years.
The important thing to remember is that this is not about reaching millions or going viral every time you post. It is about being part of God’s plan and allowing Him to reach the one sheep that went astray, rather than focusing only on those who are already saved.
I feel the need to add a small disclaimer here and highlight the importance of Matthew 28:19 and I encourage you to take a moment to read this verse. Notice how Jesus calls His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Yes, God can reach His lost sheep through the internet, but He can also reach people through you. Right where you are, whether that is in your small town, your school or your workplace.
Just look at the incredible work Josiah Pears is doing. God is using him in such a powerful way and it all comes from a heart fully devoted to Him.

Let me leave you with this encouragement: God is always moving. He is ready to use you and reveal His goodness through your life but to do so, you must prepare your heart and make yourself available to Him.
As it says in Isaiah 6:8:“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’”.
