What began as a vision from God became a reality as thousands gathered in the Rhondda Valley for a weekend of worship, unity and ministry.

For the first time in nearly two decades, a Christian festival returned to the Rhondda Valley in Wales.
What began as a vision God gave to organiser Kate became Blessed Festival, bringing together more than 2,000 people for a weekend centred on worship, unity and ministry.
Kate recalls having a vision of people coming together in complete unity, with ministry at the heart of the festival. At the time, she had no idea how that vision would become reality.
She simply knew that God would provide.
And He did but not without challenges.
Kate faced rejection along the way, however, that didn’t stop Kate from pursuing what she believed God had asked her to do, trusting Him even when she couldn’t see how everything would come together.
Eventually, the vision became a reality.
More than 2,000 people attended Blessed Festival, but perhaps one of the most striking parts of the weekend was who was there.
“It sounds amazing and I feel like I need to be here.”
Around 150 people who did not identify as Christians bought tickets.
Some were drawn to the festival simply because of what they heard about it. One attendee described their feeling by saying, “It sounds amazing and I feel like I need to be here.”
For Kate, this was about more than creating another Christian event. It was about creating a space where people could encounter God, experience community and see Christians united together.
“A vision does not have to begin with a clear plan.
Sometimes it begins with simply saying yes to God.”
After two decades without a Christian festival in the valley, Blessed Festival marked the return of something many may not have expected to see again.
And perhaps the story of Blessed Festival is ultimately a reminder that a vision does not have to begin with a clear plan.
Sometimes it begins with simply saying yes to God.
Kate didn’t know how the vision would happen. She faced rejection, uncertainty and closed doors. But she remained faithful.
And eventually, more than 2,000 people gathered together in the Rhondda Valley, including people who may never have otherwise stepped into a Christian space.
What started as a vision became a field full of people.
And for Kate, it was a reminder that when God gives the vision, He can also provide the way.
As for us, this is a powerful reminder to keep our eyes fixed on the God who turns the impossible into possible. If God has placed something on your heart, trust that He is faithful to fulfil His promises; even when you cannot yet see how they will come to pass.
